Re: DB Crime Rates
Question on CuMask+™
Islands District Council Paper 78/2020
Ms Amy YUNG notified this Council that she would raise the following enquiry at the Islands District Council meeting to be held on 22 June this year:
“  The Innovation and Technology Bureau (ITB) has been distributing CuMasks to the 2 830 000 registered residents since June.  However, the mask filter is found easily displaced and some residential care homes for the elderly refuse using the masks due to lack of manpower for washing the products.  The bureau said that if similar supplies are distributed in future, procurement will be conducted by tender.  As such, I would like ITB to arrange representatives to attend the meeting and respond to the following:
1. Has the bureau consulted users of CuMask to improve its design, including the snugness and washing method?
2. According to the bureau, the Hong Kong Research Institute of Textiles and Apparel has been commissioned to manage the accounts of CuMask, which will be submitted to the Government after auditing and an explanation will be given to the public afterwards.  Will the  entire accounts be tabled before the Legislative Council for questioning?  ”
