Dear DB owners and residents,
Lands Department is conducting a consultation on HKR's latest draft Master Plan, 7.0E. This is an important document. It represents the future of Discovery Bay.
I organized a Town Hall meeting on 23 March 2017 to brief DB owners and residents on the implications of this plan. Mr Andrew Burns prepared a power point presentation for us. He subsequently made a presentation to a special meeting of the City Owners’ Committee. Please see the following hyperlink for the Power Point presentation and the Lands Department’s consultation paper:
Apart from rectifying the previous irregularities in the past land use of the Lot, we also aim at aligning the relevant legal documents, such as the Land Grant, Principal Deed of Mutual Covenant (Principal DMC), the Sub-DMCs and the approved Outlining Zoning Plan. The maintenance responsibilities of various facilities, such as the inclined lift, public recreational facilities, service areas, HKR’s retained areas and management office rental, etc. should be make clear without any ambiguities.
Attached is a sample reply to the Lands Department. Feel free to amend and add your comments. Kindly send your comments to the Lands Department via the Islands District Office for the attention of Mr Jimmy Lam (Email: jimmy_cy_lam@had.gov.hk) on or before Thursday, 13 April 2017.
Feel free to forward this information to your friends and neighbours so that we all have an opportunity to voice out our concerns and opinions.
Yours sincerely
Amy Yung
Islands District Council Member (Discovery Bay)
