Re: DB Crime Rates

Dear DB Community Hall users,

Re: Progress of Repair Works at DB Community Hall

At the Islands District Council – District Facilities Management Committee meeting held on 10 March this year (Monday), I raised an agenda item to inquire about the progress of repair works of the multi-purpose hall and the dressing rooms at DB Community Hall. The Islands District Office (“IDO”) subsequently replied that they needed more time to transport the floor tiles for the maintenance of the multi-purpose hall so the expected completion date will be extended from 31 March to 12 April this year.

For details, you can click the following hyperlink to review my agenda item at that meeting (Chinese version only):

I understand it is inconvenient for you to organize activities during the maintenance period as the public recreation facilities are insufficient in DB. Thus, I will maintain my follow-up actions to ensure DB Community Hall will re-open as soon as possible.

In addition, IDO is now running a pilot scheme on extension of opening hours to 10:00pm at DB Community Hall from 1 January to 31 December this year. You may organize your proposed activities during the extended hours by submitting your application forms to IDO. And your spread of the information on the location, facilities, opening hours under the pilot scheme and events to friends and neighbours is highly appreciated.

If you have any questions, or any suggestions for better services and facilities provided at DB Community Hall, please feel free to contact me.

Yours sincerely

Amy Yung

Islands District Council Member (Discovery Bay)
